Since co founding screen print specialists one69A in 2009, the studio has gone from strength to strength, providing print services and commissioned products delivered to a commercial standard and a far-reaching education programme working with broad spectrum of esteemed organisations, artists and makers.
Based at Islington Mill in Salford, One69A are submersed in a fertile creative environment, which cultivates artist collaboration and production, regularly co producing with fellow artists and makers to deliver products and projects to a professional standard.
Overseeing the education and engagement offering of the studio, Sally has managed and delivered a substantial number of projects, working with internationally recognised organisations such as The Whitworth Art Gallery, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Arts Council Collection, Manchester Museum and Manchester Art Gallery.
Sally works predominantly in print but also incorporates other mediums within her education practice. In addition to delivering work as a creative practitioner, she curates, produces and develops creative programmes and exhibitions and has co written a published teachers resource.
Most recently, Sally has founded Salford Makers who are a collective of artists, educators and makers working individually and collaboratively across a broad spectrum of artistic practice, product development, artwork and social enterprise. The collective brings together a multi-disciplinary group from the Salford and Manchester, with a core of established creative practitioners based at Islington Mill in Salford.
Through the provision of accessible workspaces and pop up workshops, a range of creative activity will be enhanced to develop a creative hub for Salford, providing opportunities to artists, makers, educators and the local community to develop skills and improve health and wellbeing.
