The Introduction to Inkblots workshop was part of Shining Molly: Love, Sex and Inkblots: a talk given by academic Katherine Hubbard for the festival at The Portico Library for Manchester Science Festival 2018.
She gave a fascinating demonstration of what an inkblot test looked like and introduced pioneer Molly Harrower who started using inkblot tests in psychology and as such they’ve been a window into people’s minds ever since. She delved into the history of inkblots, exploring their connection to queer feminist history.
I worked with attendees to create our own inkblot designs and screen print them onto tote bags as a keepsake from the event.
